We use our smile to create a good first impression; we cannot do so if our teeth are not healthy. At Vista Park Dentistry we want to ensure that our patients receive the best treatment possible, we customize dentures for our patients to make sure that they look as natural as possible.
We offer complete dentures for our patients, which are created using either acrylic or porcelain material to make them look as natural as possible. The patient’s natural teeth will be removed and the dentures will be permanently placed on the patient’s teeth. We will ensure that the dentures are made with the best fit possible in order for the patient to be able to complete daily general functions such as eating & speaking.
Immediate dentures are placed right after teeth are removed from the patient. If you have lost all of your teeth at once and do not want to wait until the gums have healed from teeth extraction to get your dentures, then it would be a good idea to opt for the placement of immediate dentures. Advantages of immediate dentures are that there’s no need to be seen in public without teeth and they also allow for faster healing. Speaking will also be easier as your transition to dentures will be shorter, versus having to learn to speak without dentures and then re-learn to speak with dentures. Bleeding is also minimized by the placement of dentures in the teeth as well as malformation of the face after teeth extraction is minimized.
A partial denture is a plastic base that has one or more false teeth on it; it is made with plastic or metal and has clips that attach to the teeth. Apart from the initial consultation and placement of partial dentures on the teeth, a few more visits may be required in order to adjust the partial dentures to make them as comfortable as possible. Wearing dentures in your teeth can alter your speech, chewing and eating habits; at Vista Park Dentistry, we will ensure that you receive all the information about caring for your dentures as well as tips and advise on getting back to your normal routine once you are wearing your dentures.
